Thanks to "A La Carte", patients have a choice. His meal, when he eats and with whom he eats. He can order what he wants from the different meal components or from a composite menu. The patient is going to leave up to 50% less food waste on their tray. Less waste and higher calorie intake.
Based on IDDSI (International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative), our operational teams work together with client staff (speech therapist, occupational therapist, dietician, quality, care,...). An interdisciplinary working group is created. Each recipe and meal component is tested in real conditions, in order to determine the correct IDDSI level and adjust the recipe if necessary. Partnership and training are key here. Moreover, we also recommend setting up a recipe panel, this way the recipes are not only monitored for consistency, but also the nutritional and organoleptic properties of the recipe are validated.
